Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
This procedure involves drawing a patient’s blood, spinning it so that the platelet-rich plasma separates from the rest of the blood, and drawing the PRP up into syringes to be injected back into the area that we would like to rejuvenate. PRP is most commonly injected into the scalp to treat hair loss but is more recently being used to improve skin quality and texture specifically in the under-eye area. Please check out our feature in Harper’s Bazaar below, where our cosmetic PA, Christina DeMartino, discusses all things PRP.
